Autism Family Celebration Day

April 27, 2024 we came together with with many resources available in Grant County and families to celebrate autism.  This event was completely free from families.  They enjoyed, bounce houses, snow cones, planter planting, asking questions and gathering information from various resources who service those with autism.   ASHLEY NICHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY was on had to catch some of smiles and fun!  You can click here to check out those photos: https://unscriptedphotographers.com/ashleynichole/autism-support-group-of-grant-county-family-day-april-2024

"Dinner & Dialogue Understanding Autism" sponsored by the Moses Lake School District Early Learning

April 18th, 2024 We had the opportunity to share what Autism Support Group of Grant County does and how we help parents and caregivers affected by autism. Along with Karla Fahey, MS from NCESD who specializes in autism gave a very informative presentation and answered questions from over 50 parents and/or educators.

Thank you NCESD, MLSD Early Learning Preschool, for inviting us and Parent to Parent Grant/Adams County to be part of such an amazing night!

AIM Open Gym Day

In January 2024, we rented AIM gym for 3 hours and opened it up to families with autism ages 2-12.  The kids with their parents and siblings were able to enjoy a few hours of free play.  We had a total of 31 kids join us.  So many were thankful to be able to have the room to run, play, jump, fall, balance, and just be in a place they more than likely wouldn't have tried with out our private event.

Pizza Night at Chico's

In February 2024, we invited local autism families to come enjoy a night out while we took care of dinner.  We had about 40 kids and adults join us. The kids ate pizza, colored, and made new friends while the adults were able to actually sit and eat while sharing and connect with each other.

Autism Family Free Movie Day

In November 2023, we rented a screen at Moses Lake Fairchild Cinemas for a private sensory friendly showing of Trolls Band Together with our autism families.  The movie volume was lowered, the light were not turned all the way off, and there was room for those who had extra wiggles to wiggle with out judgment.  For many this was the first opportunity to try out a movie with out the fear of interrupting other movie goes.  We were able to create a space where all felt comfortable and all were accepted for 67 kids and adults.
